COEO

In Munich, COEO brings together producers and DJs Andreas Höpfl and Florian Vietz, who have been active on the European house scene since the early 2010s. The duo develops an aesthetic that sits between deep house, disco house and boogie influences, with a strong focus on basslines, vocal samples and the warm atmospheres inherited from American house. First noticed for a series of EPs on the Berlin label Toy Tonics — including tracks like “Feel Me”, “Back in the Days” and “Mydonna” — COEO gradually established itself as a project centered on club formats while paying careful attention to melodic writing and arrangements. The duo then expanded their catalogue on other dance-focused labels such as Razor-N-Tape and Let’s Play House, alternating original tracks with dancefloor-oriented edits. In 2020, the release “Music for Friends” on Toy Tonics compiled several COEO productions into a long-format release, synthesizing their approach between edited disco, slow house and more direct tracks designed for DJ sets in clubs.
