Folamour

Based in France and emerging from the Lyon scene, producer and DJ Bruno Boumendil, known as Folamour, works within a strand of house music deeply influenced by disco, funk and soul. First noticed in the mid-2010s through a series of sample- and groove-oriented EPs, he developed a warm, melodic sound often tinged with jazz influences, which quickly placed him between club settings and more intimate listening. Co-founder of the collective and label Moonrise Hill Material and later initiator of FHUO Records, Folamour has shaped his career around a sustained practice as a producer and selector, balancing vinyl releases with club sets across Europe and appearances at international festivals. His debut album Umami was released in 2017, followed by Ordinary Drugs in 2019, a more narrative turn with The Journey in 2021, and Manifesto in 2023, where the increased use of vocals and song formats extends his house toward pop and electronica. Across his projects, Folamour alternates instrumental tracks, sung pieces and reworkings of disco codes, building an aesthetic in which dancefloor energy coexists with a more introspective dimension.
