Formed in Berlin in 2008 after Hannes and Holger met at an open-air party, AKA AKA emerged from the German electronic scene with a repertoire spanning house, tech house and melodic techno. The Berlin duo has developed a club-oriented sound built on supple rhythms, crisp basslines and accessible melodic lines, while remaining music conceived for the dancefloor. AKA AKA first gained recognition through their productions and DJ sets before expanding into live performances in a format that extends the energy of their tracks on stage. Since the late 2000s, AKA AKA has played clubs, open-airs and festivals across Europe while evolving their discography between instrumental tracks, vocal cuts and collaborations with other artists from the electronic sphere.
