Pretty Pink

Born in Blankenburg, in the Harz Mountains of Germany, Anne Karolczak, under the artist name Pretty Pink, develops a project that sits between deep house, melodic house and melodic techno, with a pronounced taste for deep basslines, airy textures and pop choruses integrated into club formats. Active as a DJ since the late 2000s, she began circulating her early productions in the early 2010s and quickly stood out for an electronic writing that blends melodic sensibility, progressive tension and influences from pop and indie. Pretty Pink subsequently releases on various labels in the electronic scene, while developing her own ventures, Deep Woods and Wanderlust, which accompany the evolution of her universe toward a sound that is broader and more melodic. Her career also includes regular remix work for artists from trance and house, among them Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Lost Frequencies, Cosmic Gate and Ilan Bluestone. Used to festivals and big stages in Europe as well as internationally, Pretty Pink alternates clubs, open-air events and radio shows, notably with Deep Woods. In terms of discography, she signs the EPs Fairytale and Blooming Danser in 2019, Dark Woods in 2022, followed by the album Born Digital in 2023, which well sums up the direction Pretty Pink has taken between dancefloor efficiency, emotional textures and highly structured electronic production.
