THE HARA
Formed in Manchester in 2017, THE HARA brings together Josh Taylor, Zack Breen and Jack Kennedy around a taut rock sound that crosses alternative rock, alternative metal, post-hardcore, emo and hard rock. The trio first built their live presence in the United Kingdom, after a shared stint at BIMM Manchester, with a first series of EPs that quickly lay the foundations of their aesthetics: No Regrets in 2018, followed by Unconscious Minds Innocently Blind and Tramp Brain in 2019. This direct and nervous writing is then complemented by We Are the Movement in 2020, Play Dead in 2020 and We All Wear Black in 2022, where THE HARA refines a sound made of catchy refrains, abrasive guitars and variations between melodic tension and heavier pushes. During the 2020s, THE HARA also develops a regular live presence on the British rock circuit, with appearances at Download, Reading and Leeds, Slam Dunk, Tramlines, The Great Escape, 2000trees or Rock for People. After a virtual concert staged during the lockdown period, the band resumes touring, then makes its American debut at SXSW in 2023. That same year SURVIVAL MODE, the band's first album, was released, prolonging their approach to a modern, upfront and emotional rock, between punk energy, metal accents and emo sensibility. In 2024, THE HARA continues this trajectory touring in the United Kingdom and Europe, notably alongside Ice Nine Kills and Escape the Fate.
