Klangphonics

Formed in Regensburg in 2017, Klangphonics brings together Maximilian Walmsley-Pledl, Ben Kopfnagel and Markus Zunic in an electronic-music trio conceived for live performance, where guitar, percussion and synths shape a sound that is both danceable and organic. Emerging from a student environment at the Music College of Regensburg, Klangphonics first developed through self-production with the EP Funky Dance Fusion in 2018, financed by crowdfunding, then Songs to Try in 2021, before expanding its format with the album Perfect Opposure in 2024. The Klangphonics project is characterized by electronic writing that remains closely tied to collective playing, with tracks built around precise grooves, melodic textures and arrangements closer to a concert than a simple DJ set. Over the years, Klangphonics has performed on club and festival stages, notably appearing at the Fairground Festival in Hannover in 2023, documented in a recording broadcast by Arte, while continuing to release its music independently.
