Diskay

Born in La Rochelle and based in Paris, Diskay has developed since his beginnings a self-taught practice of electronic composition, started at a very young age and nourished by references such as Bonobo and Emancipator. Diskay's music has gradually moved toward a writing style that combines electronic textures, a strong melodic sense and influences from film music as well as minimalism, occupying a space at the crossroads of downtempo, chillwave, progressive house, melodic techno and contemporary composition. His recent tracks give a clearer role to piano and strings, used to structure harmony and reinforce the overall atmospheric dimension. Without confining himself to a single format, Diskay navigates his project between contemplative listening and a more club-oriented pulse, with forms that can be as much electronic live performances as DJ sets. Based in Paris, Diskay regularly appears on the local scene, presenting precise, fluid music built around a balance between organic and electronic material.
