Jumo

Jumo, the project of French producer Clément Leveau, has been developing since the mid-2010s an electronics with shifting contours, sitting between beatmaking, alternative pop and bass-music influences. Noticed on the Parisian label Nowadays Records, Jumo released a series of EPs that shaped his aesthetic: fragmented rhythms, dense electronic textures and vocals often treated as an additional material in the mix. The album Et le vent ?, released in 2020, deepens this approach with a more narrative dimension, where Jumo stretches his compositions toward song formats while keeping a strong focus on the instrumental and the sonic atmosphere. On stage the project appears as either an audiovisual live performance or a DJ set, with careful attention to images and editing, rooted in the French electronic scene and present at various festivals and clubs across Europe. Through collaborations with singers and producers from experimental music, hip-hop and pop, Jumo refines an identity located at the crossroads of contemplative club music and introspective electronic songwriting.
