Calva Louise

Born on the London underground scene, Calva Louise brings together backgrounds from Venezuela, France and New Zealand within a British lineup driven by Jess Allanic's vision. The band has developed a sound that merges alternative rock, post-hardcore, nervous punk, metal-leaning riffs and electronic textures, with tense, shifting songwriting that moves from catchy melodies to more abrasive passages. Calva Louise first made a name for themselves with their live activity in London before expanding to festivals such as Reading & Leeds, Download and 2000trees in the UK, and Riot Fest, Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, SXSW and Rock for People internationally. In 2023, Calva Louise self-released the mixtape Over The Threshold, accompanied by a series of videos made by the band, extending a visual approach already tied to their musical identity. On tour, Calva Louise have shared bills with Bloodywood, Slothrust, Boston Manor, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Albert Hammond Jr., embedding their journey in the international alternative rock circuit.
