Little Lion Sound

Based in Geneva, Switzerland, Little Lion Sound develops a project at the intersection of sound system culture, DJing and production, rooted in reggae and dancehall traditions. Active on the European scene since the 2010s, Little Lion Sound first gained attention with mixtapes and selections oriented toward sound system culture, before shifting more of its activity to producing riddims and digital singles. The producer’s work sits between modern roots, contemporary dancehall and Afro and hip‑hop influences, with a marked taste for multiple vocal versions built around shared instrumentals. In the studio the Geneva-based producer collaborates with Jamaican, African and European vocalists, maintains close ties with the francophone reggae scene, and contributes to the development of the Evidence Music label, which releases some of these recordings. On stage Little Lion Sound adapts his format to the context — from selector-style dancehall sets to shows that showcase home productions — while preserving classic sound system codes: quick transitions, dubplates and exclusive remixes.
