Mietze Conte

Based in Vienna, Austria, Mietze Conte has since 2022 been developing an electronic project that blends experimental pop, ambient textures, deformed club rhythms, and intimate vocal writing. The track bunnybunnybunny and the EP Nervous, released that year, mark Mietze Conte's early discographic steps and establish a mobile aesthetic, at once melodic, fragmented and closely tied to the contrasts between softness and tension. In 2023, Mietze Conte continues with the EPs Under my Bed and dreaming of your latte art, expanding this language toward a more floating electronic sound, sometimes dreamy, sometimes nervous, without locking into a single format. The project also takes on a live dimension with a first live show presented in Tokyo. In 2024, Mietze Conte multiplies dates between Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, Tokyo and Seoul, while releasing the album Mietzee in July, then ee oo, with contours more ambient, before Hobby’s, produced with Otto Benson at the end of the year. This succession of releases underscores Mietze Conte's practice of producing in a very free manner, between deconstructed song, sensitive electronics, and sonic explorations thought for both listening and live performance.
