Info
On 18 April 2027 Moonspell will perform at Patronaat in Haarlem for an evening in which their long trajectory through gothic and extreme metal is central. Since the early nineties, the Portuguese band formed around Fernando Ribeiro, Pedro Paixão and Ricardo Amorim has developed a sound that starts from black metal but soon opens up with keyboards, heft, melody and that characteristic dark atmosphere. Expect tracks that trace the line of Under the Moonspell and the classics Wolfheart and Irreligious, up to their later work, where the group frequently brushes against industrial, progressive and experimental accents. Moonspell remains dynamically strong live: deep vocal lines, pounding riffs and abrupt tempo shifts that keep the whole performance in constant motion.
Iotunn brings, on the same date, their Danish, modern take on progressive metal to Haarlem. With Access All Worlds as a touchstone, they couple melodic death influences to grand, narrative compositions full of soaring melodies and sturdy, rhythmic drive. Their set balances between brutal passages and spacious, almost cosmic build-ups, ideal for those who enjoy metal that is simultaneously technical, emotional and immersive.
TodoMal completes the bill with a heavier doom facet, driven by slow, solemn riffs and a broad, space-rock-inspired atmosphere.
