Fat Dog land in Newcastle upon Tyne on February 4, 2027 for a night at NX Newcastle, bringing the London five-piece’s electro-punk collision course to the stage. Formed during the 2020 lockdown around Joe Love, they built their name the old-fashioned way: by turning gigs into a sweaty, unruly calling card long before the records properly landed.
Their sound sits where post-punk tension meets dance-punk snap and confrontational electronics: tight synth lines, rave-leaning pulses, and sudden left turns that can even brush up against klezmer, with saxophone cutting through the chaos. After early buzz and support slots with bands like Sports Team, Yard Act and Viagra Boys, they signed to Domino in 2023 and kept pushing forward with tracks like “King of the Slugs”, then “All the Same”, “Running” and “I Am the King”, leading into the album WOOF. Expect a set that runs on raw rock energy and hypnotic repetition, with just enough absurdity to keep you on edge.
