On April 10, 2027, Simple Minds return to Paris, at the Accor Arena, with their signature blend of edgy new wave, sweeping synths and guitars that swell as the songs unfold. Led by the duo Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, the group draws from a repertoire that spans several eras without ever freezing into a single style: from their post-punk and art-rock beginnings, more angular and experimental, to tracks where the writing becomes more direct, propelled by melodies that cling to the skin and a sonic density very much suited to a large venue. On stage, the aim isn't re-creation but continuity: to let electronic textures dialogue with atmospheric riffs, bridge the energy of the 80s to newer records like Direction of the Heart, and remind why Simple Minds maintains this way of filling space, between pulse, chorus, and collective momentum.
