Megadeth arrives at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on 16 March 2027 for a set carved into the grand history of American thrash. Led by Dave Mustaine, the band has built its signature on fast and precise riffs, often labyrinthine structures and lyrics that look straight at the hard truths: politics, war, religion, social paranoia. From classics that have set the rules of the genre to more recent records, Megadeth navigates between sharp accelerations, technical tensions and punchy choruses, with that very direct way of building pressure, track after track.
In the opening slot, Black Label Society brings its massive heavy metal, led by Zakk Wylde. Between classic hard rock, southern-tinged touches and darker electric ballads, the band alternates mid-tempo, thick grooves and elongated solos, without losing that gritty and melodic edge that defines its identity. An ideal opening salvo to warm up the room before the thrash onslaught.
