Marie Davidson returns for a live performance on 20 August 2026 at The White Hotel in Salford, with her signature blend of taut techno, experimental pop and spoken word. A producer and performer from the Montreal scene, she builds minimalist and impactful tracks, driven by club-ready rhythms that are never gratuitous. On stage, everything hinges on presence and text: a direct way to seize the dancefloor while weaving stories about work, fame, control or technological alienation.
With City of Clowns, she has refocused her sound toward denser and more abrasive electronics, shaped notably with Soulwax and Pierre Guerineau (Essaie pas). Expect a precise, nervy set, where narration rubs up against dry kicks and cold synths, between trance and a lucid gaze at the era.
