Pride at Rough Trade East: Big Wett + Xandi Blu + Cowz
On the eve of London Pride, come celebrate Pride Month with us at Rough Trade East with a showcase of LGBTQIA+ acts.
Big Wett
There’s nothing subtle about Big Wett. Sex positivity and queer hotties to the front – the artist and performer is unapologetically liberated in her music, bringing a horny and inclusive energy to the dance floor.
As the legend goes, the enigmatic Big Wett emerged through the fog of a dance floor in late 2021, and rapidly gained a cult following through whispers of intoxicating live shows and fabled Soundcloud demos that hit the G-spot.
Today, Big Wett continues to enthrall her followers around the world, selling out headline shows from Naarm to London, and picking up support from triple j, DORK, NME, Dummy and more.
Her music is made for the sluts, the gays, the girls and the theys – it’s all about letting loose and living your life, while also taking care of yourself and your community. It’s about being smart but also silly. It’s about singing into a diamanté-encrusted microphone while wielding a double-ended dildo – sometimes both at the same time.
Xandi Blu
Xandi Blu is a queer musical artist delivering fast, upbeat and authentic tracks. With releases like Fucking 2 Techno and Spread My Legs, they fuse relentless energy, bold emotion and unapologetic self-expression.
Cowz
Cowz are a Brighton-based queer alt-pop duo with music described as “girl’s girl pop with violent undertones”. The band played the 2025 festival run, including a main stage slot at Truck Festival. Cowz released their second EP You’re Into This in November, and appeared on both Radio X with John Kennedy and BBC Introducing for interviews and live sessions. The band recently performed a sold out headline show at The Old Blue Last in London. Blending elements of punk, pop and electronic sounds, the band continue to cause a stir in multiple areas of the industry, and have just released Miss Antoinette, “a critique of nepotism and the barriers faced by artists without financial backing or industry connections”, Baby Step Magazine.
