Ezra Collective lands in Toronto on November 17, 2026 with the Here Because of Hope Tour, driven by a London-based jazz sensibility that loves groove as much as crossovers. Born in the Tomorrow’s Warriors ecosystem, the quintet brings together Femi Koleoso on drums, TJ Koleoso on bass, Joe Armon-Jones on keyboards, Ife Ogunjobi on trumpet and James Mollison on sax. Their thing: moving energy between contemporary jazz, Afrobeat, hip-hop, soul, dub, reggae and Caribbean touches, never letting the momentum freeze.
Having first gained attention with the EPs Chapter 7 and Juan Pablo: The Philosopher, they step up the pace with You Can’t Steal My Joy, then confirm on Where I’m Meant to Be, which earned the Mercury Prize, before pushing the needle further on Dance, No One’s Watching. On stage, expect a collective, ultra-mobile set, where riffs are snatched on the fly, breaks restart the engine and the grooves connect the club, brass-band and jam.
