Getdown Services, the Bristol duo of Josh Law and Ben Sadler, bring their wiry post-punk and indie-dance splice to Boiler Shop, Newcastle upon Tyne, on 25 November 2026. Since their 2023 debut album Crisps, they’ve taken a taut live set across the UK and Europe, built on stubborn bass loops, boxy drum machines, and guitars or synths that jab at the groove rather than smother it. Vocals sit half-spoken, half-sung, sketching everyday scenes, social codes and urban tics with dry, sideways humour. The music stays lean and repetitive, snapping between deadpan chant and brief bursts of release, landing as easily in a club as in a small room.

Rolling in after the new EP Primordial Slot Machine, the show tightens the screws: basslines circle, beats punch in square patterns, and small shifts hit like drops. It’s a set wired for movement and eye contact, more about timing and shared momentum than spectacle, with detail and drive carrying the room from the first loop to the last.
