Info
Jacob Collier brings The Light For Days Tour to Union Chapel in London on 16 September 2026. A London-born multi-instrumentalist and singer, he first emerged in the early 2010s with split-screen videos of polyphonic covers, layering voices and instruments into meticulous home‑made arrangements. His music moves between jazz, pop, R&B and choral writing, with dense harmonies, shifting meters and a clear taste for collective vocal architectures.
On stage, Collier reworks his studio ideas in real time, moving from intimate solo constructions to full‑band interplay. Songs stretch and reshape through reharmonizations, rhythmic detours and layered vocal parts that turn grooves into choral textures. The set draws on his debut album In My Room and the four Djesse volumes (2018–2024), which range from chamber atmospheres and acoustic orchestral colours to electronic pop and song‑driven formats. Along the way, he carries traces of collaborations across jazz, pop and film music, including work with Herbie Hancock and Hans Zimmer.
This date at Union Chapel focuses on the craft of arrangement and harmony: voices stacked, instruments trading roles, and pieces that evolve without losing their melodic thread.
