Info
Bowling For Soup and Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls share the stage at The Piece Hall in Halifax on 30 June 2026.
From Texas, Bowling For Soup bring pop-punk with a power-pop tilt: sharp riffs, fast tempos and a comic streak anchored in everyday life. Formed in 1994 around singer-guitarist Jaret Reddick, the quartet has built its thing on bright melodies and storytelling about extended adolescence, suburbia and TV culture, from Drunk Enough to Dance to A Hangover You Don’t Deserve and beyond. Live, they lean into big choruses and a friendly back-and-forth, turning tight songs into a loose, energetic set.
Also on the bill, Frank Turner plugs in with The Sleeping Souls, his long-running band. The English songwriter blends punk roots with folk and rock drive, shifting from acoustic confessionals to brisk, full-band bursts. The Sleeping Souls give his songs punch and lift, with close harmonies and a rhythm section that keeps the momentum steady. The set moves through different chapters of his catalogue, from intimate to anthemic, built around direct lyrics and melodies made to be sung back.
