Info
On 26 June 2026 at Guildhall Square in Southampton, Bowling for Soup roll in with the pop-punk they’ve honed since the mid-90s. Formed in Wichita Falls and based in Denton, the quartet around Jaret Reddick blends punk rock snap and power-pop melody, with lyrics that riff on suburban life, prolonged adolescence and pop culture. From Let’s Do It for Johnny!! and Drunk Enough to Dance to A Hangover You Don’t Deserve and Pop Drunk Snot Bread, their catalogue tracks a band that writes tight choruses and keeps the tone light. Known for soundtrack cameos including the Phineas and Ferb theme, they bring an easy sense of humour and crowd-ready singalongs.
Sharing the stage, Frank Turner adds a folk-punk edge rooted in the UK punk circuit. After fronting the post-hardcore outfit Million Dead, he pivoted to acoustic-led songs without losing bite, opening a run from Sleep Is for the Week and Love Ire & Song to England Keep My Bones, Tape Deck Heart, FTHC and Undefeated. Often joined by The Sleeping Souls, Turner writes plainly about personal fault lines, history and everyday politics, carving refrains built for voices in unison. Two angles on the same impulse: direct songs, brisk tempos and stories designed to be thrown back from the crowd.
