Info

On 23 September 2026 at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, Marillion take the stage with a body of work that has steadily reshaped British progressive rock. Formed in the late 70s, the band first stood out in the early 80s with Fish, mixing theatrical storytelling and long, melodic pieces across Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood. The arrival of Steve Hogarth at the end of the decade opened a more introspective chapter, carried by the stable chemistry of Steve Rothery, Mark Kelly, Pete Trewavas and Ian Mosley. From Seasons End and Brave to Marbles, F E A R and An Hour Before It’s Dark, Marillion keep exploring extended forms and cyclical writing, where rock, pop atmospheres and ambient or electronic textures blend on stage as in the studio. Expect a journey through different eras, guided by the band’s interplay and narrative sense.

Haunt the Woods complete the bill with an opening set before Marillion take over Symphony Hall, setting the scene for a night anchored in songwriting and dynamics.
