Info

Cleveland’s 200 Stab Wounds brings its blunt, riff‑first take on American death metal to Downstairs At The Dome in London on 11 August 2026. Formed in the late 2010s around guitarist‑vocalist Steve Buhl, the band digs into a sound rooted in 1990s death metal: thick mid‑tempo churn, sharp tempo switches and guttural vocals, with a thread of thrash folded into compact, tightly cut songs.

First noticed on the underground with the 2020 EP Piles of Festering Decomposition (Maggot Stomp), 200 Stab Wounds set the tone on the 2021 debut Slave to the Scalpel: short, impact‑driven tracks, grisly imagery and a no‑frills writing style that hits hard without overplaying. After signing to Metal Blade, the group toured steadily across North America and Europe, honing a set that moves cleanly between grind, stomp and sudden bursts of speed.

Manual Manic Procedures (2024) pushes the formula forward with thicker production, more developed structures and a clearer focus on melodic guitar work without losing the band’s direct approach. On stage, that balance comes through in serrated riffs, tight rhythmic turns and vocals that anchor the whole thing in classic death metal grit.
