Info
On July 3, 2026 at Le Bikini in Ramonville-Saint-Agne, Allah-Las, Cathedrale and World Brain share the bill. Formed in Los Angeles in 2008, Allah-Las move beyond labels, favoring a style that privileges feel and space. Their recent release Countryman '82 / Dume Room, two stripped-down instrumental demos, pushes this aspect further: one track driven by a pulse that never quite resolves, the other by a slower, misty tension. In roughly fifteen years and five albums, the band has built a language of interaction—songs that work as well at the back of the room as in the front row, without raising the volume. In the studio their palette widens, with new instruments and more open arrangements on the horizon; a fully instrumental album expected later in the year could further expand their playground.
CATHEDRALE
Ten years after their first demos, the Toulouse-based outfit continues its taut line between garage, power pop and post-punk, with an urgency that remains alive. For Poison, their fifth album, the band recorded and mixed in Brussels with Mathieu Versini in less than a week, captured live in a few takes. On stage as on record, the group has reverted to a four-piece for a more concise, direct approach. Neither wholly garage nor entirely post-punk, Cathedrale has, over successive records, affirmed an identifiable sound—tight rhythms and crisp melodies at the forefront. Poison continues in that vein, slightly hardening the tones and refining the arrangements, without losing the original effectiveness.
