The Story So Far

On 10 June 2026 The Story So Far will play at Melkweg in Amsterdam. The band from Walnut Creek, California, rose with the late-2000s pop-punk revival. Since 2007 singer Parker Cannon, guitarist Kevin Geyer, bassist Kelen Capener and drummer Ryan Torf have formed the core. Their sound balances melodic hardcore energy and direct hooks, with lyrics about relationships, emotional fatigue and growing up.

After an early EP, albums followed on Pure Noise Records: Under Soil and Dirt (2011) and What You Don’t See (2013) put them on the major pop-punk routes and the Warped Tour circuit. With the self-titled 2015 album the pace slowed slightly and the songwriting tightened. Proper Dose (2018) opened the door to more breathing room and introspection without losing the tension. In 2024 the band returned with I Want to Disappear, which continues that trajectory: melodies remain sharp, the dynamics are less frantic and the DIY reflex is still audible.

Live, The Story So Far lets that evolution collide with their early drive: short, direct and straightforward. At Melkweg old favorites and the recent material naturally come together in a set that keeps the core of their sound clear.
