Info

Spring is approaching and, as every year, the Mahalla collective invites you to celebrate together on March 20 from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM at the Cabaret Sauvage.

Nowruz ("new day") is the new year celebrated at the spring equinox in Afghanistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Central Asia and as far as India. It is a symbol of rebirth and cultural resilience, rooted in millennia-old traditions.

On March 20, Mahalla invites artists originating from West Asia and from diaspora communities who explore the musical heritage of their regions through folk, rock and electronic sounds. This solidarity evening has been conceived to bring together the communities that celebrate Nowruz and to give a platform to those who work daily to promote these cultures. Everyone is welcome to share this moment.

Association stalls and light catering will also be available on site.

- Melina (live)
Melina was born into a family where the oral transmission of traditional music plays a central role. Of Greek origin, she carries this heritage through a voice rich in ornamentation and depth. After a period of research and study at the conservatory in Gennevilliers and in Greece, Melina launched her musical project and released a first EP in June 2025. Her universe is poetic, urban and tinged with magic. Traditional music blends with pop influences, with songs sung in French and Greek. On stage she is accompanied by musicians Doğan Poyraz (percussions), Miloš Kunç Radun (keyboards) and Nils Peschanski (electronics).

- AySay (live)
AySay is a Turkish/Kurdish/Danish group that mixes Anatolian folk with Nordic electronic sounds. Led by singer Luna Ersahin, AySay creates music that relies as much on traditional instruments (saz, darbuka) as on pop and contemporary elements. Their expression is built in the bridges between the musical traditions of Asia Minor, organic instrumentation and electronic music. Their music speaks both to those who come to dance and to listeners seeking an inward journey, carried by Luna’s voice.
