On 30 May 2026 at Le Ferrailleur in Nantes, Martin Dupont shares the bill with KaS Product. Formed in Marseille in the 1980s, Martin Dupont is part of the French cold wave movement. Across three albums, the band developed a language of sharp synths, minimal electronics and dark melodies. Split at the end of the decade, the project reformed in 2023 for its first American tour, its revival fueled by the echoes of samples by Tricky and Madlib. Back on stage, Martin Dupont performs a repertoire of cold textures and straight, steady rhythmic lines.
KaS Product emerged in Nancy in the early 1980s around Mona Soyoc and Spatsz. The duo crafted a recognisable sound defined by dry rhythms, tense synths, electric tension and Mona’s singular voice. The albums Try Out, By Pass and Ego Eye established this signature on the European new wave scene. After Spatsz’s death in 2019, Mona continued the project under the name KaS Product Reload, now a trio with Thomas Bouetel on machines and keyboards and Pierre Corneau on bass (formerly of Marc Seberg). This lineup continues the project’s DNA with a more organic and contemporary energy.
