GiedRé, a singer-songwriter and comedian of Lithuanian origin based in France, has made song her playground for addressing awkward subjects. With her guitar and precise lyrics, she strings together vignettes of everyday life, taboos and human foibles, which she turns inside out with deadpan humour. Short songs, choruses that stick, a seemingly naïve tone: on stage she delivers nursery rhymes that go off the rails, stinging confidences and stories that unsettle without raising her voice. She returns with a set that draws on her well-known numbers and introduces new pieces, in a tight, direct format that moves between disarming portraits and clever detours.
GiedRé will be at the Rack’am in Brétigny-sur-Orge on 13 March 2026 for a concert where her pen and guitar draw a clear line between tenderness and the absurd, and where you end up humming things that aren’t supposed to be funny with a wry smile.
