Info
On March 15, 2026, at the Trianon in Paris, The Growlers return to bring their beach‑goth to the stage. Formed in 2006 in Dana Point, California, the band has crafted a distinctive blend of psychedelia, surf, post‑punk and garage rock, threaded with dark humor and a laid‑back nonchalance. Brooks Nielsen’s husky, theatrical voice and Matt Taylor’s hazy guitar shape songs with a vintage texture, where sunlight mingles with roadside melancholy. Their discography unfolds across a fertile decade—from Gilded Pleasures (2013) and Chinese Fountain (2014) to City Club (2016), produced by Julian Casablancas, and Natural Affair (2019). It features urban tales, bruised romances and an idealized California that is as much myth as everyday life. On the live front, their world has been affirmed through tours and their own festival, Beach Goth, held until 2019. Expect that DIY aesthetic, those somewhat shadowy characters, and guitars that shimmer like coastal neon beneath a smoky sky.
