Peach Pit

Formed in Vancouver in 2016, Peach Pit brings together Neil Smith on vocals and rhythm guitar, Christopher Vanderkooy on guitar, Peter Wilton on bass and Mikey Pascuzzi on drums. The Canadian quartet operates in an indie pop and indie rock register, with influences of surf rock and jangle pop; their sound is centered on bright guitars, supple melodies and a measured vocal that lends the songs a simultaneously light and melancholic tint. Peach Pit first drew attention with the EP Sweet FA in 2016, before releasing the album Being So Normal in 2017 on Vancouver label Kingfisher Bluez. That initial period established Peach Pit on North American, European and Asian stages; the band followed with You and Your Friends (2020), From 2 to 3 (2022) and Magpie (2024). Over successive tours they have played festivals such as SXSW, Osheaga, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, and shared bills with acts like Two Door Cinema Club. Throughout their trajectory, Peach Pit have retained concise pop songwriting and a marked taste for contrasts between luminous choruses, pliant guitars and a more introspective backdrop.
