Info

On March 20, 2026, at Amphithéâtre 3000 in Lyon, Daniel Lavoie returns to the stage to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Tension attention. Released in 1983, this record marked a turning point in his career as a singer-songwriter between Canada and France. Lavoie revisits this repertoire and blends in other songs that punctuate his trajectory, placing emphasis on the lyrics, the melody and the balance between pop and chanson.

On stage, he is reunited with an ensemble conceived for the venue: Jean-François Groulx on piano and musical direction, Paul Brochu on drums, Mathieu Désy on double bass and Laurent Guardo on percussion. Vocal harmonies are provided by backing singers Karine Pion, Émilie Pompa and Myelle. Song by song, the artist unfolds precise songwriting and a phrasing that have endured over the years. An occasion to rediscover songs that have become familiar, presented in arrangements designed for today’s live performance and listening.
