Jada

Born Emilie Molsted Nørgaard in Bisserup, in the western part of Zealand, Denmark, Jada has since the late 2010s developed a pop-writing nourished by contemporary R&B, soul, and a direct melodic sense, with a performance often centered as much on restraint as on vocal intensity. She emerged in 2018 with the singles 'Keep Cool' and 'Sure,' before quickly widening her audience in Denmark with 'Lonely' and then releasing her debut album, I Cry A Lot, in 2019. Jada articulates an English-language pop-R&B aesthetic built around introspective songs, understated productions, and highly legible choruses. Her second album, Elements, released in 2022, extends this direction while opening the format toward a broader pop, without abandoning the balance between frontal emotion, soulful textures, and radio-friendly songwriting. Along her trajectory, Jada has also crossed paths with other Danish scenes through collaborations and appearances with Kesi, Phlake, August Rosenbaum, and even Alina Baraz, illustrating a natural flow between pop, R&B and more nuanced songwriting. Present on the major stages of her country, notably at Roskilde in 2022, Jada belongs to a generation of Danish artists who work English-language pop with a discreet yet clear Nordic grounding.
