Naomi Sharon

Born in Rotterdam, Naomi Sharon works between contemporary R&B, neo-soul, downtempo and sophisti-pop, with songwriting focused on the intimate and tracks that favour muted atmospheres. The daughter of a father from Curaçao and a Dutch mother, she grew up in a family closely connected to music, then attended the Academy of Theatre and Dance before leaving to pursue musical theatre work, including productions such as The Lion King and Dream Girls. After covers released in the early 2010s and an appearance on The Voice of Holland in 2016, she launched her solo career with the single The Moon in 2019, followed by Breeze, a track that caught Drake’s attention. In 2023 she joined OVO Sound as the label’s first female signee and released her debut album Obsidian (2023). Her music blends low vocal lines, sparse production and influences ranging from alternative R&B to more ambient textures, sometimes with Afropop or Hispanic-tinged accents. Naomi Sharon then brought this repertoire to stages across Europe and North America on the Obsidian Tour, and continued with singles such as Nothing Sweeter in 2024.
