Charley Crockett

Born in San Benito, Texas, in 1984, Charley Crockett grew up between South Texas, Dallas, and Louisiana, where he honed his craft as a musician on the street and in small venues. Charley Crockett has developed a repertoire at the crossroads of traditional country, blues, rhythm and blues, and Americana, with a marked taste for slow ballads, honky‑tonk, and covers of old standards. After years of traveling and informal gigs, he released his debut album, “A Stolen Jewel,” in 2015, followed by “In the Night” in 2016, which placed him on a more structured touring circuit in the United States. Alternating original compositions and reinterpretations of classics, Charley Crockett went on to release “Lil G.L.’s Honky Tonk Jubilee” (2017), “Lonesome as a Shadow” (2018), “The Valley” (2019), then “Welcome to Hard Times” (2020), before “10 for Slim: Charley Crockett Sings James Hand” and “Music City USA” in 2021. Established on the contemporary American country scene, Charley Crockett continued with “The Man from Waco” in 2022 and strengthened his live presence with “Live from the Ryman” in 2023, while remaining committed to an aesthetic inspired by the popular music of the American South.
