Bella Poarch

Born in San Fabian, in Pangasinan province, Philippines, Bella Poarch grew up between the Philippines and the United States, where she settled as a teenager before serving in the US Navy. First identified by her presence on TikTok in 2020, Poarch quickly began transitioning to pop music with an aesthetic that blends electropop, alternative pop and dark pop, in short, melodic songs often built around tense atmospheres, direct choruses and a strong visual imagery. She launched her musical career in 2021 with the single Build a Bitch, then pursued the same year with Inferno in collaboration with Sub Urban. In 2022, Bella Poarch released the EP Dolls, which also gathers the tracks Dolls, Living Hell, Villain and No Man’s Land, with Grimes featuring on the latter track. Since then, her discography has expanded in successive steps with Crush with Lauv in 2023, Bad Boy in the same year, then Don’t Like Anybody with 6arelyhuman in 2024. At the crossroads of digital pop, confessional storytelling and writing influenced by the codes of social networks, Bella Poarch develops an accessible format of song, dark without being heavy, where image and narration occupy a central place.
