Leah Kate

Based in Los Angeles, American singer-songwriter Leah Kate (born Leah Kalmenson) crafts a direct pop sound that blends dance-pop, pop rock and pop-punk influences, driven by lyrics focused on relationships, self-sabotage and connected life. Leah Kate began releasing music independently in the late 2010s and quickly spread her early tracks across streaming platforms and social media. The 2019 EP "Impulse" established an electro-pop world with streamlined productions, followed in 2021 by the EP "What Just Happened?", which reinforced a more upfront, guitar-oriented songwriting. Leah Kate reached a wider audience with the single "Fuck Up the Friendship" in 2020, and later with "10 Things I Hate About You" in 2022, a highly narrative track situated within contemporary pop-punk.
