Pommelien Thijs

Active on the Flemish scene since her teens, Pommelien Thijs has developed a parallel career as an actress and singer-songwriter. Born in Kontich, Belgium, and brought to wider attention by the teen musical series "#LikeMe", she gradually moved from television soundtracks to a personal pop project in Dutch. From 2020 she released several singles solo and in duets, notably with Dutch singer Jaap Reesema, which established her on the pop scene in Belgium and the Netherlands. Her debut album "Per ongeluk", released in 2023, gathers this songwriting into modern pop with restrained electronic arrangements, driven by direct melodies and lyrics focused on relationships, doubt and the transitional moments typical of her generation. Between filming series such as "Knokke Off" and concerts in Flemish venues and festivals, Pommelien Thijs is building an artistic identity in which her acting informs her stage performance, while music takes an increasingly central place in her career.
