Sueco

Born in Los Angeles, California, William Henry Victor Schultz, who records under the name Sueco and later SuecoTheChild early in his career, develops a path at the crossroads of emo-rap, alternative hip-hop, and pop-punk, with incursions into metalcore. Active since the second half of the 2010s, Sueco first releases the EP TrippyNights in 2017, before gaining visibility with the track 'Fast' in 2019, a song that accompanies the release of the EP Miscreant the same year. His writing, centered on direct choruses, prominent guitars, and an energy inherited from both rap and alternative rock, takes a clearer turn toward pop-punk in the early 2020s. This evolution is reflected in his debut album It Was Fun While It Lasted, released in 2022, where Sueco blends catchy melodies, introspective themes, and tense production. In this period, he also appears on 'Swerve' by Papa Roach featuring Fever 333, a sign of his entry into a scene where modern rock, rap and alternative music intersect. Sueco then continues this trajectory with Attempted Lover in 2024, maintaining this mix of emo tension, pop formats and punk accents.
