10 Years
American band 10 Years emerged from the local rock scene in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the late 1990s, before shifting toward alternative rock with metal overtones, driven by the voice of Jesse Hasek—who joined in 2002—and the multi‑instrumental work of Brian Vodinh. Initially self‑releasing Into the Half Moon (2001) and then Killing All That Holds You (2004), 10 Years moved into the major‑label circuit with The Autumn Effect (2005), which established a blend of alternative rock, post‑grunge, and melodic metal built on contrasts between atmospheric passages and heavier sections. Division (2008) and Feeding the Wolves (2010) extended that aesthetic in a more direct direction, while Minus the Machine (2012) and From Birth to Burial (2015) marked a more independent phase in the band’s career. With (How to Live) As Ghosts (2017), Violent Allies (2020), and Deconstructed (2022), 10 Years continues to explore a palette that alternates sung melodies, taut riffs, and introspective moods, sustained by steady touring across North American and European rock and metal stages.
