Born in Brooklyn around the songs of Tyler Wright, TVOD takes shape in the New York DIY scene with a nervous post‑punk that mixes egg punk, krautrock and alternative rock into a dry, danceable and confrontational register. The project appeared in 2019 with a cassette of tracks recorded by Wright in the basement of a collective house where he was living, before expanding into a sextet featuring Mem Pahl on drums, Micki Piccirillo on bass, Jenna Mark on synthesizer, and Serge Zbritzher and Denim Casimir on guitars. TVOD crafts short, tense songs propelled by angular guitars, insistent rhythms and lyrics drawing as much from nightlife as from relationships, the absurd and stories from the local scene. After the EPs Daisy (2020) and Victory Garden (2021), TVOD released several singles — “Alien”, “Mantis”, “Goldfish” and “Poppies” — and their first album, Party Time, in 2025. On stage, TVOD moves between clubs, independent venues and festivals across the United States, Canada and Europe, with appearances at SXSW, Hopscotch, Sled Island, End of the Road and Les Trans Musicales.
