HotWax
Formed between Hastings and Brighton, HotWax took its current shape in 2021 around Tallulah Sim-Savage, Lola Sam and Alfie Sayers, after Sim-Savage and Sam’s earlier stint together in The Kiffs. Based in Hastings on England’s south coast, the trio sit at the intersection of alternative rock, grunge and post‑punk, with direct songwriting, rough-edged guitars, a prominent bass and taut vocals. HotWax began releasing independent tracks from 2020 — including Stay Cool, Pat the Killer Cat and When We’re Dead — before issuing the EPs A Thousand Times and Invite Me, Kindly in 2023. During the same period the band established itself on UK and European stages, appearing at festivals such as The Great Escape, All Points East, Mad Cool and Reading & Leeds, and supporting Royal Blood in the UK and North America. In 2025 HotWax released their debut album, Hot Shock, which extends this nervous aesthetic: live-driven energy, angular melodies and overt nods to 1990s rock reinterpreted by a younger generation.
