Originally from Liverpool, Stone are one of those bands restoring rock’s righteous anger. Formed around Fin Power, Elliott Gill, Sarah Surrage and Alex Smith, the four-piece delivers a raw, taut sound fuelled by adrenaline and sincerity. Heirs to English punk and the abrasive guitars of the ’90s scene, they fuse cutting riffs, rumbling bass and inhabited spoken-word. After shaking the underground with their EP punkadonk, Stone hit hard with Fear Life for a Lifetime, a debut album produced by Rich Costey (Muse, Foo Fighters) that propelled them among the most exciting bands around. Their energy is contagious; their lyrics deal with inner chaos, anger and hope.
