Crawlers
Formed in Liverpool in 2018, Crawlers brings together Holly Minto, Amy Woodall, Liv May and Harry Breen in an alternative rock line-up with a soft-grunge aesthetic, driven by dense guitars, a prominent bass and vocals that alternate between restraint and tension. The band coalesced around schoolfriends Amy Woodall and Liv May, who were later joined by Holly Minto and then drummer Harry Breen, before playing their first dates on Liverpool’s local scene. Crawlers began to grow their online audience in the early 2020s, notably with the track “Come Over (Again)”, which circulated widely at the end of 2021. That visibility accompanied the band’s signing to Polydor in 2022 and the releases of the EP Crawlers in 2021 and Loud Without Noise in 2022. At the same time, Crawlers toured extensively in the UK and internationally, appearing on larger bills, including opening for My Chemical Romance in 2022 and alongside Mother Mother in 2024. Their debut album, The Mess We Seem to Make, was released in 2024 and continues a songwriting approach centred on direct, melodic and sombre rock rooted in the contemporary British alternative scene.
