Sir Chloe

Centered around singer and guitarist Dana Foote, Sir Chloe emerged in 2017 at Bennington College in Vermont as a senior thesis project that gradually evolved into a full-fledged indie rock band and later relocated to New York. Driven by abrasive guitars, direct melodies, and vocals that shift between restraint and tension, Sir Chloe crafts a sound that sits between alternative rock, dark pop, and grunge echoes, with lyrics focused on ambiguous relationships, vulnerability, and everyday obsessions. Early singles like “Animal” and “Michelle” first circulated online before placing Sir Chloe on the North American independent scene, with club and festival shows where the band honed an aesthetic that is both raw and melodic. The release of the “Party Favors” EP in 2020 marked an initial synthesis of this compact, contrast-rich writing, while the 2023 album “I Am The Dog” broadened Sir Chloe’s palette toward slower, more introspective forms without abandoning its rock foundation. Between studio and touring, Dana Foote keeps Sir Chloe an evolving project, oscillating between full-band energy and a songwriter’s approach, open to occasional collaborations while preserving a recognizable sonic identity.
