Only Fire

Born in 1999, Only Fire is from Zagreb, Croatia, and later relocated to Berlin. Emerging as an electronic producer in the late 2010s, Only Fire makes club-oriented music at the junction of electro, bass music and a deliberately confrontational digital pop. The tracks pair dry rhythms, direct synthetic lines and an artificial voice reminiscent of a virtual assistant, employed for explicit lyrics that intersect sexuality, internet culture and celebrity references. This aesthetic — built around short formats, détournement and a very direct relation to web codes — was established with Cumshots Fired (2018) and Double Penetration (2020). Between the club stage and online circulation, Only Fire operates within a context where electronic music converses with memes, crude humor and contemporary digital practices, focusing on rhythmic impact and the collision between pop imagery and dancefloor energy.
