deBasement

Between Montréal, New Orleans and Los Angeles, deBasement brings together Alli Logout, who is also active in the punk group Special Interest, and DJ-producer Margo XS. The project sits at the crossroads of club music, electro, punk and synth-pop, with a tense, upfront and danceable sound where dry, rapid rhythms meet direct vocal lines and energy drawn from queer DIY scenes. deBasement emerged in 2024 with the track FRONT LEFT SPEAKER, and then develops an aesthetic that blends rave culture, post-punk tension and contemporary electronic production. Based in the orbit of Los Angeles\' underground nights, the duo circulates its music between club and live, in a format that emphasizes both the physical impact and Alli Logout\'s vocal attitude. Their first EP, on which Marie Davidson participates, is released in 2025 and extends this hybrid approach, both abrasive and highly legible in its construction. deBasement has also shared posters with artists such as Model/Actriz, Hannah Diamond and Marie Davidson, markers that clearly situate the terrain frequented by the duo, between alternative dance music, live performance and punk heritage.
