Silat Beksi

Silat Beksi is part of the Romanian electronic scene, where for several years he has worked as a DJ, producer and label manager focused on a minimal line that is at once flexible, deep and highly rhythmic. His sound moves between minimal house and stripped-down techno, featuring precise grooves, dry or muted textures and a clear emphasis on the progression of the mix rather than on demonstrative effects. Silat Beksi has released tracks on labels such as Rawax, Pleasure Zone, Constant Black, Tied, Afterhours, Sounds of Sirius, Bread And Butter and Curtea Veche, while also running his own imprint, Modeight Records. Alongside his releases he has performed in numerous club settings and events across Europe, as well as in Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, situating his trajectory within an international network tied to the microhouse, minimal and pointillist techno scenes. In both his productions and his selections, Silat Beksi favors subtle balances between tension, space and percussion, within a sober, nocturnal and functional aesthetic.
