Jay Tripwire

Based in Vancouver, Canada, Jay Tripwire has built a career as a DJ and producer since the late 1990s, focusing on club-oriented electronic music — from house and tech house to minimal and deep house — with a marked taste for dub textures, stretched grooves and long transitions. He first made his mark during the vinyl era with a series of maxi singles that established him in North American and European underground circuits, and he has since developed a prolific discography across numerous labels, on vinyl and later digitally. His work ranges from functional dancefloor tracks to more atmospheric productions, without a sharp divide between rhythmic efficiency and the exploration of sonic material.
