Myles Kennedy

Born in Boston in 1969 and raised between northern Idaho and Spokane in Washington state, Myles Kennedy first trained as a guitarist before establishing himself as a singer and songwriter in a rock register marked by hard rock, alternative metal, blues rock, and soulful inflections. After early appearances on the Spokane scene with Cosmic Dust and then Citizen Swing, where his taste for crossings between rock, funk, blues and jazz already appears, he founded The Mayfield Four, a group with which he released Fallout in 1998 and then Second Skin in 2001. The rest of his career took on a broader dimension when he joined Alter Bridge in 2004 as singer and rhythm guitarist, contributing to the band's evolution on albums such as One Day Remains (2004), Blackbird (2007), AB III (2010), Fortress (2013), The Last Hero (2016), Walk the Sky (2019) and Pawns & Kings (2022). In parallel, Myles Kennedy developed a durable collaboration with Slash, first on the guitarist's solo album in 2010, then within Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators on Apocalyptic Love (2012), World on Fire (2014), Living the Dream (2018) and 4 (2022). His solo discography, more focused on writing and direct formats, includes Year of the Tiger (2018), The Ides of March (2021) and The Art of Letting Go (2024). Myles Kennedy has also multiplied occasional participations and maintains, in all his projects, a style where the power of hard rock remains tied to a supple vocal and to writing nourished by blues and soul.
